Carrier Pre-Selection (CPS)
Carrier Pre-Select allows both new and existing customers to access our low cost telephone service without the need for dialing an access code, smart boxes or having your phone system re-programmed. You can specify which calls are routed through our service by choosing National, International or All Calls.
4WARD offers with its Carrier Pre-Selection service, the convenience of presetting your telephone line to its Fixed Line Network. This ensures the use of 4WARD's CPS service, without having to dial an Access Code.
There are four options for the types of calls that can be made with Carrier Pre-Selection. They are:
"All" Calls - including local calls, national calls, international calls, and calls to mobile phones (not including special tariff calls, personal numbers and paging).
Customers may choose to have their lines preset to any of the options listed above.
CPS customers are no longer required to dial an Access Code, and the use of other providers' service through "CPS override" remains a possibility. The function "CPS override" is performed by dialing the access code of any other provider (e.g. BT: 1280), followed by the number you want to call.
There are never any monthly fees or minimum call charges with 4WARD's CPS. Also there is no required cancellation period. That means no risk for you. You can easily apply for Carrier Pre-Selection service.
CPS service begins only after its activation by BT. This usually takes 10 working days from the date your CPS application is received.
As a service to its customers 4WARD agrees to take over all change-over fees from British Telecom.
Reductions in rate will naturally be imparted to CPS customers without delay.
